2008 American Amateur Championship - Golf Tournament eattle
Simply put, it's the funnest tournament you will ever play in!  Some of the great perks of this tournament will be that "you" (any established handicap playing individual) will receive many benefits starting with a fantastic welcome package. free daily lunch boxes, free range balls, free golf carts, a free AAC Players Dinner, free access to Tacoma Golf Show and most importantly...you get to play fun, competitive golf against other players in your handicap level at some of the most beautiful courses in the nation!

So...you think the British Open or US Open are great events played on great golf courses, but you do not have the game of Tiger Woods?....well get ready for the 2008 American Amateur Championship. This will be the only handicap amateur golf tournament of its kind, played at the best courses in the Pacific Northwest over one full weekend. Top qualifiers from each flight will meet for the "Sunday Showdown" played at Chambers Bay where players will compete for their Handicap Flight Title as well as the overall 2008 American Amateur Champion.

You will play golf at 3 different top ranked courses in the nation during the course of 3 days against players with your same handicap or in your same division.

For example:

  • Thursday, your round will be played at Gold Mountain

  • Friday, at The Classic

  • Saturday, at Trophy Lake
Player Course Assignments will be determined before the tournament, based on handicap flights and course availability.  We have ensured that the AAC is played at the best courses in the Pacific Norhwest.  All players from the same flight will play the same course on the same day.

  • The top qualifiers coming equally from all handicap levels after 3 rounds, will not only win additional prizes and give-aways, but will also play Sunday, courtesy of the "AAC" at Chambers Bay (home of the 2015 US Open), for a chance to win their flight and possibly be crowned the 2008 American Amateur Champion.

*Chambers Bay does not allow golf carts.
